Ko-RECTO sa NEDA

Last night, I called NEDA Deputy Director-General Augusto Santos, who had been serving as Acting Socio-Economic Planning Secretary for more than a year, following the transfer of his predecessor Romulo Neri to the Commission on Higher Education.
I said I’d drop by his office because I am a Vilmanian.

After five years of delay, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, the largest in the country with a floor area of 240,000 square meters, finally opened yesterday (July 22, 2008) to commercial passengers of budget carrier Cebu Pacific.

Lucio Tan’s Victory

Many of today’s papers carried the victory of Lucio Tan at the Supreme Court versus the Bureau of Internal Revenue. To sum it up, the High Court ordered the BIR to refund Fortune Tobacco P1.03-Billion in overpaid taxes.
Fortune, is one of Tan’s major holdings. It manufactures brands such as Camel, Winston and Salem.
